No Sweets In January

Dayrūţ Well, today brings a day of sadness to the McLean household. Yes, it’s true. You saw it in the title and now I will affirm it: No sweets, specifically, no sugar in the McLean household for the month of Januar.  Why, you ask? Because we have overdone the sweets all December long!

Agudos You know, we have a pretty healthy family. We don’t often get colds or flu. We do okay, EXCEPT during December. It’s almost like clockwork; sickness hits our home each December.

Anyone else do anything similar?

  1. Ruth, I am thinking of joining you for this. Though my husband will not, nor will he enforce it with the children. But, for me, I can do this and hopefully get my children to play along.

  2. Happy New Year! I hope the Lord blesses you abundantly this year as you seek Him!

    Shalom

  3. I have seen in our lives how being disciplined in one area overflows into other areas of our lives. I think limiting sweets would be a great way to live out self-control; but not necessarily an easy way!
