Reuse the back of junk mail envelopes and the envelopes you remove bills from. I use the backs of them for my note paper to makes lists: Grocery lists, to do lists, or jot down things I need to remember. I never buy cute/fancy note pads, although I have been known to receive a few as gifts.

I found another use for these envelopes when my children were small. We made little stand alone animals from them by cutting out the shape leaving the fold uncut with the feet opposite the fold. Eyes and a few other simple features and the little ones are ready for some very inexpensive fun.
